Just out of curiosity, why is Return of Godzilla so low on the list? I never understood the vitriol toward it. It's a solid, if slow, film, with perfectly serviceable human characters, effects that hold up remarkably well, and some of my favorite destruction scenes in any Godzilla film to date

Yeah, i at first thought he was fighting Bagan, but he wasn't so i was very dissapointed. Maybe my dislike is exaggerated. I guess it was an OK start to the heisei series.

Why so much love for Final Wars on this thread?

My reasoning is because it is a fun, action packed, overall great ending to the millennium series.

I would disagree to that statement. I'll expound on that tomorrow, but I'm off to witness Shin Godzilla and I won't get home til 10 PM...
