The Mitsubishi F-2 is a Japanese fighter jet, and a licensed version of the American-built General Dynamics F-16 Fighting Falcon. The Mitsubishi F-2 was first featured in the 2016 Godzilla film, Shin Godzilla.
History[]
Shin Godzilla[]
After Godzilla emerged in his towering fourth form at Kakmakura, he began to advance towards Tokyo, and the JSDF's forces were mobilized, including the JASDF's fleet of Mitsubishi F-2s, which supplemented a USAF-JSDF-led force of AH-64 Apaches and AH-1 Cobras. The fighter jets unloaded their arsenal on him, specifically guided missiles, but these had no effect on Godzilla.
