The HeiseiOrochi (平成八岐の大蛇,   HeiseiYamataNoOrochi?) is the Orochi puppet design used in the 1994 Toho film, Yamato Takeru.

Name

The HeiseiOrochi's name comes from Heisei (平成?), and Orochi, which comes from Orochi's Japanese name, Yamata no Orochi (八岐の大蛇?).

Detail

The HeiseiOrochi is larger and much more draconian than its Showa counterpart. The puppet has red scales and yellow skin in some areas, such as its stomach and the tops of its heads. It has eight heads in total with sharp teeth and multiple horns on each one. It also has a very large and long tail. This design used wires to operate the puppet's heads. It has a flamethrower located in the bottom jaw of each head.
