- Do not confuse with Godzillasaurus.
Gojirasaurus Quayi is a medium sized theropod dinosaur found in New Mexico in 1997. It was around 6.5m long, thus making it one of the largest predators of the Triassic period. It belonged to the Coelophysoidae group of carnivorous dinosaurs, which included other meat eaters such as Segisaurus and Procompsognathus. Gojirasaurus was named after the immensely popular Japanese monster; Godzilla (Gojira in Japanese).
