Shiigan (シーガン Shīgan?) is a plankton kaiju created by Toho that appeared in the 1998 video game, Godzilla: Trading Battle.
Name[]
Shiigan's name comes from the words sea and Gigan.
Design[]
Appearance[]
Shiigan has a Gigan-like appearance, sporting scythe hands, spikes on their backs, and a similar head although it has notably different Wings sporting real wings compared to the "wings" Gigan has.
Origins[]
Shiigan is the result of an alien substance mutating zooplankton, it went on to become a protector of the Ocean and having a rivalry with Hedorah.

Poison Spray[]
Shiigan is capable of spewing out a toxic mist from its mouth.
Wing Blasts[]
Shiigan can vibrate its wings rapidly and fire off Lasers from its Wings.
Scythe Claws[]
Similarly to Gigan Shiigan sports Scythe like appendages to slash at its enemies.
Stinger[]
While not toxic Shiigan does have a very sharp tail which it can jab at its enemies with.
Adept Swimmer[]
Shiigan lives within the Ocean and as such is built to swim well in the ocean.

Trivia[]
- Due to the fact that Shiigan has reptilian and insect features and has blades for hands, Shiigan bears some resemblance to the Pokémon Scyther, and also, rather obviously, Gigan.
- Interestingly Gigan, the monster it shares the most similarities with also has a rival monster with Gigan in the film Final Wars being rivals with Mothra.
