Overview

Proto-Moguera (プロトモゲラ, Puroto Mogera^?) is a mecha created by Toho that first appeared in the 1997 Godzilla television series, Godzilla Island.

Name[]

While Proto Moguera is based on the Showa incarnation of Moguera, it is called "Proto-Moguera" in the TV show so that it wouldn't be mistaken for the other Moguera that appeared in Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla, who also appeared in the series.

Proto-Moguera looks identical to the Showa incarnation, but in the form of an action figure.

History[]

Proto-Moguera appeared in the TV series as a member of the G-Guard's kaiju fighter mecha alongside Moguera, Mechagodzilla, and Jet Jaguar. Proto-Moguera was ultimately stolen by Zaguresu after Black Mechagodzilla was captured by G-Guard. Proto-Moguera was then sent retreating into space with Zaguresu after Torema piloted the superior Mechagodzilla against it.
