Godzilla Raids Again

While scouting the sea for schools of fish for an Osaka-based tuna canning company, pilot Kojikawa Kobayashi's Cessna 170 plane began to have engine problems, forcing him to make an emergency landing on the remote Iwato Island. kobayashi's friend and coworker Shoichi Tsukioka was informed and landed on the island in his Cessna 170 to rescue Kobayashi. While on the island, the two pilots witnessed a battle between Godzilla and Anguirus, after which both monsters fell into the ocean and disappeared.

After their company's headquarters in Osaka was destroyed by Godzilla and Anguirus, Tsukioka and Kobayashi were relocated to the company's Hokkaido branch, where they again took to the skies in their planes to scout the sea for fish. During one scouting run, Tsukioka observed Godzilla coming ashore on a small icy island. Tsukioka notified the air force and used his plane to distract Godzilla and keep him on the island until the air force arrived. Kobayashi switched shifts with Tsukioka to distract Godzilla with his plane while Tsukioka boarded a fighter jet with one of his old college friends. The air force dropped bombs on Godzilla to no effect, and the monster seemed about to leave the island. Kobayashi flew his plane in front of Godzilla to try and keep the beast at bay, but Godzilla blasted the plane with his atomic breath and caused it to crash into the icy slope of a nearby mountain. The plane's explosion caused a landslide of ice, which gave the air force a new idea: to blast the slopes with their rockets and bury Godzilla underneath the ice. Kobayashi's sacrifice was not in vain, as the air force successfully buried Godzilla under the ice on the island, where he remained dormant, at least for the time being.
